The Shatter Me series

Over Spring Break I have been continuously reading the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi. I started out reading the first novel called Shatter Me (I posted a blog about it earlier), and immediately got engaged in the book. After that I read the first novella (Book 1.5) which was called Destroy Me. It was written in perspective of another character named Warner. Then I read the second novel called Unravel Me. Currently, I am reading the 2nd novella (Book 2.5) called Fracture Me. It is written in another character's perspective named Adam. Subsequently I will read the third and final novel in the series called Ignite Me.

The Basic Characters:

Juliette Ferrars: A 17-year old girl with an ability that can harm people. She can impose pain every time someone touches her. She can also cause a lot of destruction with her hands every time she is in anger. Juliette was in an asylum because people thought she was a monster. She has brown hair and bluish, greenish eyes.

Aaron Warner: The 19-year old leader of Sector 45. He is ruthless and cold-hearted person as seen from The Reestablishment. He captures Juliette from the asylum to use her as a weapon. He changes into a better person after he meets Juliette and as the book progresses on. He has blonde hair and green eyes and is obsessed with Juliette. He can't be harmed by Juliette's touch.

Adam Kent: An 18 year-old soldier of Warner's army. He escaped with Juliette from the army and into Omega Point ( A rebellious group that plots against The Reestablishment). He has blue eyes and brown hair. He is in love with Juliette ever since they were children. He can't be harmed by Juliette's touch.

Kenji Kishimoto: A 20-year old soldier from Warner's army. Is friends with Adam and helped him and Juliette escape. He's part of the rebellious group of Omega Point. Has the gift of invisibility.

James Kent: 10-year old brother of Adam. Has healing abilities.

Castle: Leader of Omega Point and has telekinetic powers.

Sonya and Sara: Twins with healing powers in Omega Point. Roommates with Juliette. 

Brendan: Boy with electrical abilities in Omega Point.

Winston: Boy with very flexible abilities in Omega Point. Treats Juliette when she just reaches Omega Point.

Anderson: Warner's ruthless father who is one of the leaders of The Reestablishment. 

Shatter Me Summary:

Juliette is in the asylum and Adam is in the same room as Juliet to "spy" on her. She would write in her notebook about her actions and her feelings. Juliette is captured by Warner from the asylum. She escapes with Adam to go a safe place called Omega Point. On the journey, she meets with James and Kenji. They come with Adam and Juliette to Omega Point. It is a place where no one knows where it is. It's deep underground and has people with abilities and powers.

Destroy Me Summary:

This book is the perspective from Warner. It shows how attached he is to Juliette and can't stop thinking about her. He finds Juliette's notebook and reads it. Warner changes into a way different person after Juliette escaped.

Unravel Me Summary:

This book shows how Juliette and others are getting ready for war against Warner's army. Juliette is given a purple suit with boots and gloves that can't harm anyone. Juliette and Adam's love grow but is shattered when Juliette hears that Adam get's sick every time he touches her. Kenji and Juliette work together to grow her ability. James also has an ability to heal himself very quickly. But once people get to know that Brendan and Winston and 2 others got kidnapped by Anderson, Juliette, Kenji and Adam have to go in. They get two of the four hostages and Juliette tries to kill Anderson but can't. Instead, they keep Warner hostage. He soon escapes and Juliette realized she has grown some love about Warner. Later, to get the other hostages, they have to go in for war against Anderson.
