This blog post refers to the Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi (post 2). I thought I did well in this blog because I incorporated the analysis of characters and summaries of the book (s) I've read so far. I started off by writing an introductory paragraph of what I've read over Spring Break. Afterwards, I created a list of basic characters that were played in the book (that I knew of). I added in a brief sentence or two for each character to get a good understanding of them. Subsequently, I included summaries of each book I read over spring break. I didn't give away too much and I didn't give too little. I gave away brief sections of the book that were important to know, from the beginning to the end of the novel. Finally, I assimilated in a picture that represents all five of the books in the series (The 3 novels and 2 novellas) with the site I retrieved it from. Overall, I thought this blog post demonstrated my ability to analyze through characters and novels itself.

Some goals I have for myself regarding
future reading is to read more challenging mystery or historical fiction books.
This year, I tried a historical fiction book called Little Boy Lost. It was a
rough experience but I'm glad I tried it because I don't really read that much
of historical fiction novels. Next year, I would like to try more of them. I
would also like to try more of mystery books, like Agatha Christie. She
utilizes challenging words and creates a very interesting mystery novel as
well. For writing, my goal is to organize my thoughts better on paper. I
would like to use TIQA more in my writing. Some things I need to improve in
reading, is to spend more time reading longer books than my comfort zone (like
500-600 pages). The more I read in a book, the more I’ll be engrossed in
reading and the more I’ll like reading longer. For
